سازمان ETS (متولی برگزارکننده آزمون تافل) اعلام کرده است که از ۲۱ ژانویه ۲۰۲۶ نسخه به‌روزرسانی‌شده‌ای از آزمون TOEFL iBT عرضه خواهد شد که هدف آن افزایش دقت سنجش مهارت‌های زبانی، تطابق بهتر با نیازهای دانشگاه‌ها و به‌روزرساندن تجربه آزمون‌دهی است.

به‌روزرسانی‌های آزمون تافل از ۲۱ ژانویه ۲۰۲۶ اعمال خواهد شد و نسخه جدید TOEFL iBT با زمان کوتاه‌تر حدود ۹۰ دقیقه، ساختار تطبیقی (Adaptive)، وظایف جدید در بخش‌های Speaking و Writing، مقیاس نمره‌دهی نوین ۱ تا ۶ هماهنگ با CEFR، و زمان اعلام نتایج سریع‌تر حداکثر تا ۷۲ ساعت ارائه می‌شود.

جزئیات کلیدی تغییرات:

آزمون به فرم تطبیقی (adaptive) برای بخش‌های Reading و Listening تبدیل می‌شود تا سختی سوالات بر اساس عملکرد داوطلب تنظیم شود.
نمره‌دهی جدید ۱ تا ۶ اضافه شده که با سیستم CEFR (چارچوب اروپایی زبان) هماهنگ است و به‌صورت همزمان با مقیاس قدیمی ۰–۱۲۰ در کارنامه نشان داده می‌شود.
منابع رسمی آماده‌سازی جدید از پیش از شروع سال ۲۰۲۶ در دسترس قرار خواهند گرفت.

نحوه برگزاری:

ETS هنوز جزئیات رسمی درباره نحوه برگزاری آزمون Center Base یا نسخه Home Edition (آزمون در منزل) منتشر نکرده است. با این حال، تجربه نسخه‌های قبلی TOEFL نشان داده که معمولاً هر دو گزینه در دسترس هستند.

قیمت آزمون:

تا همین لحظه ETS قیمت رسمی خاصی برای نسخه ۲۰۲۶ اعلام نکرده است. اما قیمت فعلی TOEFL iBT ، هزینه ثبت نام این آزمون در کشورهای مختلف معمولاً حدود ۱۹۵ تا ۳۲۵ دلار آمریکا است .
مثلاً در آمریکا حدود ۲۴۵ دلار، در ایران حدود ۲۶۵ دلار و در استرالیا حدود ۳۲۵ دلار برای آزمون iBT پرداخت می‌شود.

طبق الگوی رایج ETS، احتمالاً قیمت نسخه جدید هم در همان دامنه خواهد بود، مگر اینکه این سازمان تصمیم به افزایش یا سیاست جدیدی بگیرد. جزئیات دقیق هزینه آزمون، زمانی که ثبت نام رسمی برای نسخه ۲۰۲۶ باز شود، توسط ETS منتشر خواهد شد.
